One of our members, Caroline Western Torgersen, has participated in "The Pacific Canada Experience" (PACE) which is a round trip experience hosted by Rotaract District 5040. Focusing on fostering global ties and intercultural exchange. Six international Rotaractors from different countries were chosen to take part in an authentic 10-day experience of Western Canada facilitated by Rotaractors within the district.
The program included various activities and outings featuring a unique blend of nature, city, and eco-friendly living. Designed to explore several interesting places within the province of British Columbia, specifically within Rotaract Districts 5040 and 5020, the participants took part in serveral activies. Such as kayak around Vancouver's Burrard Inlet, hiking the Grouse Grind, touring the city of Victoria (provincial capital), explored Whistler Village (Home of Winter Olympics 2010), volunteered with local Rotaractors, and so much more!
The participants were hosted by Rotarians in their homes, which made the experiences even more authentic!
